Mr. Yuan earned his Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in English Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UWP). He was nominated for the UW-Platteville Honor Society Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi given his outstanding academic performance. 

Prior to joining the English Language Center, College of Liberal Arts, Shantou University, Mr. Yuan has three years’ part-time teaching experience centering on teaching College English to Non-English Majors, and he has also taught Extensive Reading to English (Teaching) Major. 

Mr. Yuan is passionate about TESOL. He enjoys working with students that are from various majors, and he is committed to create a holistic learning community where the educator stimulates students’ passions and potentials for learning, facilitates them to develop communicative competence and language learning strategies, fosters their intercultural communication awareness and guides them to be lifelong learners.

Mr. Yuan’s research interests include flipped classroom based blended learning in the context of higher education, ethnic American literature and issues related to sociolinguistics.
