Dr. Algué Sala holds a PhD in Spanish linguistics from Arizona State University (ASU) and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from the University of Barcelona (UB). In China, he has hold teaching appointments in the Sichuan University (SCU) and Northeastern University (NEU). He has expertise in teaching a wide range of courses, including linguistics, literature and language courses. Administratively, he has coordinated and supervised the implementation of a Dual Spanish program (2+2) between American and Chinese universities (Spanish in China initiative, ASU – NEU). His research interests include the pedagogical approach of linguistic variation in second language acquisition teaching environments and the transference of key psychological factors for second language acquisition (attitudes, motivation) in multilingual individuals. He has published his work in international journals (ASELE) and has participated in numerous international congresses in Spain, the USA, and China. He is a certified examiner for the DELE exams (B1-B2). He is fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English, and Italian, and has communicative competence in Chinese and French.
